DUBLDOWN ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: Your name, phone number, and profile photo when you create an account.
• Contacts: With your permission, we access your contacts to help you find, add, and invite friends through DUBLDOWN.
• Status Updates: The availability statuses and plans you post in the app.
• Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you use the app to help us improve it.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core functionality of showing your status to friends
• To help you find and connect with friends
• To send you push notifications about friend activity
• To send SMS text messages as described in the SMS Messaging section below
• To improve the app experience

SMS Messaging & Text Notifications

DUBLDOWN uses SMS text messages in two ways:

• Friend Invitations: When a DUBLDOWN user adds someone from their contacts as a friend, we send a one-time SMS invitation to that person's phone number letting them know they've been added and inviting them to download the app.
• Plan Notifications: When a DUBLDOWN user posts a status or plan (e.g., "Free tonight!"), we send SMS notifications to their friends who are not yet on the app or do not have push notifications enabled, so they don't miss out.

Consent: By adding a friend on DUBLDOWN, you consent to SMS notifications being sent to that contact on your behalf. Recipients who receive these messages have not independently opted in — they are receiving messages because a friend invited them or shared a plan with them.

Message Frequency: Recipients typically receive 1–5 messages per week, depending on how active their friends are. Message frequency varies and is not fixed.

Opting Out: Any recipient can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from DUBLDOWN. After opting out, no further SMS messages will be sent to that number. Recipients can also reply START to re-subscribe at any time.

Cost: Standard message and data rates may apply. DUBLDOWN does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.

Information Sharing

Your status and profile are only visible to friends you've added. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We use third-party services (such as Twilio) to deliver SMS messages on our behalf, and share only the minimum information necessary (phone number and message content) to deliver those messages.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices.

Your Choices

• You can update or delete your account at any time in the app settings
• You can control who sees your status by managing your friends list
• You can opt out of push notifications in your device settings
• SMS recipients can reply STOP to any message to opt out of text notifications
